Our neighborhood puts on a great 4th of July celebration with a kids parade, firetrucks and firemen, a potluck bbq and a fireworks show. It's so nice to be able to just walk home!
Lainey didn't really like the fireworks at first but once she got settled onto Daddy's lap with a blanket and a snack, seemed to enjoy the show. 
My friend Bridgette and I decided to try taking pictures of the fireworks last night. We got some amazing pictures. Well, I think they are amazing. We were so excited we started jumping up and down, squealing and clapping. I love taking pictures and was just so excited to have learned something new. In all, I took 130 pictures with just a handful not turning out very well.
